Money ‘Laundering’ doesn’t generally mean that a person actually launders money, but in this case, police found $400,000 stuffed inside the drum of a washing machine. Seems to be pretty appropriate to us!

A man, 24, who was in the home at the time of the raid was arrested on suspicion of, you guessed it, money laundering!

Imagine the man’s surprise when police were simply checking for unregistered residents and came upon this! Initially, they had documents showing that nobody lived at that address, so they were surprised to find someone there.

And with what was supposed to be an unoccupied home, they clearly thought there may be shady dealings going on, which is what prompted the search.

The cops also found several cell phones, a firearm and a money-counting machine during the raid.

Officially, the raid was part of an investigation into “housing fraud, money laundering and other signs of crime.” Looks like they hit the jackpot!
